Turtle Creek Nursery Makes Gift to Owatonna Foundation

Turtle Creek Nursery recently made a gift of $1,120.00 to the Owatonna Foundation. The gift was a result of their Christmas Tree promotion to benefit the Foundation. For each Christmas tree sold, three dollars of the sale was donated to the Foundation. “We are extremely grateful to Turtle Creek for sponsoring this promotion that benefited the Foundation. This donation will go far in continuing our mission which is; improving the quality of life for present and future generations by supporting Owatonna projects that focus on community, arts, recreation, and education.” said Foundation President, Betsy Lindgren. The Owatonna Foundation, now in its 61st year of serving the Owatonna community, provides capital grants in Owatonna and its environs.

“We were excited to do this promotion to benefit the Owatonna Foundation. They have truly touched the lives of everyone that lives in Owatonna by financially supporting the many projects they have been involved with. As a business owner and resident, we value these amenities that make our community a wonderful place to live and work.” said Turtle Creek Nursery owner, Eric Cornell.

Since then, the Owatonna Foundation has committed more than $11.9 million dollars in grants to Owatonna projects and annually awards $30,000 in scholarships for both traditional and non-traditional students.
