Spring Grant Awards from the Owatonna Foundation

The Owatonna Foundation, in its 66th year in 2024, has a total of $303,994 available for two grant cycles.  The Owatonna Foundation received a record number of 13 applications for the Spring Grant Cycle.  The following grants have been awarded:

• Owatonna Area Business Development Center for $15,000 for technology and structural updates

• Steele County Free Fair Steele Saloon for $22,500 for the building and patio

• Steele County Parks and Recreation for $75,000 for an electric zamboni

• The Owatonna Eagles #1791 for $20,000 for ADA handicapped door actuators

• Owatonna Police Department for $9,058 for radar speed signs to be located near the new OHS

• Owatonna Gun Club for $60,000 for a new storage structure

• Exchange Club Center for Family Unity for $20,000 for window replacement

For a grand total of $221,558 with $82,436 remaining for the Fall Grant cycle which the deadline is fast approaching on September 1, 2024.
