Owatonna Foundation Awards Nontraditional Scholarships to Individuals Pursuing a Technical Career

The Owatonna Foundation just awarded our Nontraditional Scholarships. During Fall Semester 2021, two individuals will use Nontraditional Scholarship funds to assist with their education costs. The Nontraditional Scholarships are awarded to individuals who are returning to college or continuing their education after high school graduation. Recipients are attending programs at technical or community colleges. The goal of the Owatonna Foundation is to get students trained in trades in hopes that they will return to Owatonna and fill some of the many job openings we have right here in Owatonna.

Nontraditional Scholarship Recipients

Alex Tryhus, Riverland Community College, Construction Electrician, $3,000, Neil and Christy Tryhus

Joshua Prostrollo, South Central College, Computer Science, $3,000, parents Steve and Shannon Prostrollo
